Yard Sale Do's and Don'ts

70's kitch sells well
We've had many yard sales on our driveway. Here's a few tips for yours:

things that sell best
home decor
artwork
record albums
military items
tools
things that don't sell
breakables and collectibles (sorry mom)
jewelry
cookware
vintage items that aren't cool or unusual
mark prices on everything, use the easily removable sticky tags - some people are basically shy and won't ask a price

start at 9 am  end at 1 pm, 1:30 pm latest, by then you've had it

have everything priced and assembled in garage the night before, just move it out to the driveway in the morning

tables and raised surfaces are needed for little stuff, people don't like to bend down, can be an old door on sawhorses, nothing fancy

anything with an electric cord or batteries put on it whether it works or not

be ready to bargain a lot by 10 am, shelf life quickly perishable after that
